Thulaganyo has been at the helm of the union since 2017 and part of the movement since 2002. His passion is people, the players and making football better than when he was a player. The President serves on various boards as well as on FifPro’s.
Tebogo Monyai
1st Vice President
Our vice president can still be spotted at many a football game. He is deeply entrenched in keeping up with the sport on the ground, it’s what he popular for. He played professional football for clubs like the University of Pretoria, Mpumalanga Black Aces and Moroka Swallows.
Morgan Shivambu
2nd Vice President
Operating under pressure is what makes Morgan Shivambu tick. Coaching is a calling which he has taken up in Limpopo and understands this landscape as he too was a player for the very club he now coaches, Black Leopards.
Nhlanhla Shabalala
Secretary General
Fueled by football, there is no other way to describe the Secretary General of SAFPU.
Proud to wear the armour in the name of fair play. Shaba has he is affectionately known has played for clubs like Ajax Amsterdam/ Ajax Cape Town and Amazulu.
Taelo Motloung
Deputy Secretary General
To spice things up a little we have ‘Salter.’ Mention this name in footballing circles and you’re sure to get some scintillating feedback on the legend. Taelo, played for Jomo Cosmos and Thembisa classic, adding salt to the wounds whenever he took to the pitch.
Zama Dlamini
Treasurer
Zama Dlamini knows all about net worth! As a hot shot stopper it is all about the checks and balances. Passionate about football on and off the pitch Zama has played for over nine clubs professionally.
Mlungisi Masinga
Kwa-Zulu Natal Co-Ordinator & Recruitment Officer
Mlungisi will boast that Kwa-Zulu Natal is the province with the most SAFPU Members!
And there’s no doubt as to why the member rate is soaring in Mlu’s district!
This quick trick center back has represented clubs like Golden Arrows and Blackburn Rovers.
Carelse Brent
Western Cape Co-Ordinator & Recruitment Officer
Legendary in the Western Cape for his mad football skills, Brent now uses his time to assist the stars of today go for gold! Growing membership but more importantly placing focus on education. Brent has represented many clubs and provincially he's played for Ajax Cape Town and Hellenic.
Mpho Maruping
Additional Member
Mpho’s passion is about leaving a mark and he does that through the lens. When he is not on the pitch he is capturing the moments from the touchline, making many a football game last longer than 90 minutes. He’s recent team, Royal Eagles.
Bafana Nhlapo

His name might sway you to think of the country’s national team Bafana Bafana.
His heart is definitely green and gold as the veteran goalkeeper believes in the youth.
Now retired, the transport businessman gladly offers his advice to the Union.
Mvalo Msekeli
Current player and Executive Member
The Eastern Cape born Mseleki takes up the position as defender for Richards Bay United.
He has played for clubs like University of Pretoria, Golden Arrows and Chippa United.
He uses his role to better conditions on the pitch for all players.

Well versed in media, Romy's career spans more than two decades.
The award winning broadcast journalist assists in making the voice of the organization heard on all platforms.
When she is not with SAFPU you can spot her on television or hear her on radio, as the voice or face behind many a football game.
Tshepiso Lethuloe

The Boss!
There’s no other way to describe Tshepiso.
She has been with the Union for over a decade ensuring that from an administrative level everything complies. She has a smile a mile wide and believes that the future is female football.
Priscilla Ntsime
Finance
Making Rands and scents, is Priscilla’s department.
She believes that money makes the world go round – in every cent of the word.
Football comes second to finance and Priscilla endorses the Union’s focus for financial literacy for every footballer.
Phinias Modikwe
IT Specialist
He goes by the nickname DaGreat. No job too big or small, Phinias is able to I.T it all. In the past four years with the Union, he still prefers gadgets to good goals.
